  Downtown Scarecrow Display & Contest
Description:
Downtown Scarecrow Display & Contest produced by Manchester Art Association will be held from Oct. 3 through 30. Stroll Main Street and enjoy playful, fun and creative scarecrows created by members of MAA and the Manchester community. It is not too late to create your own scarecrow for display during Fall Fest. We found fun clothes & accessories at the Church Mouse Thrift Shoppe, 46 Purnell Place. We combined these with some “retired” clothing from our own closets to create Main-ard, Char-Main and Ger-Main - the Downtown District scarecrows. They are in place at the gateway garden located at the intersection of Main and Center Streets. Contact the District office at 645-2101 for a contest registration form and details. We also have some tips on readily available materials you can use to stuff your scarecrow or go to www.manchesterart.org
