Silk City Flick Fest

- The Silk
City Flick Fest is an independent endeavor designed to
showcase the best in independent and student films. Beginning
Oct. 8 with an opening gala, the SCFF will include special
screenings, panel discussions and live demonstrations
throughout a four-day weekend of community involvement and
family fun. 10 percent of all proceeds from the Flick Fest will
be donated directly to MARC, Inc.

- A VFW Breakfast is Schudules for the Second Sunday of every month at 608 East Canter St. in Manchester. A $6.00 donation is requested for an ALL YOU CAN EAT meal which includes pancakes, eggs, sausage, and home fries. Breakfast is served from 8:00 to 11:00 AM.

- Manchester Fire Department Open House – All are Welcome to Attend!
The Manchester Fire Department 8th Utilities District is holding an open house on October 11th from 1pm-4pm. The event will be held at Headquarters on 138 Main Street. All are welcome and encouraged to attend. There will be information tables on Fire Prevention, the Fire Marshal’s Office, and Personnel as well as informal tours of the station and equipment. Attendees can practice using fire extinguishers using the Department’s fire secured pit as well as view an extrication demonstration. Light refreshments will be served.
