Description:

Description:
Registered dietitian Michelle Sisk, RD, CD-N. will present Go Whole Grains! on Wednesday, October 21, 4-5 p.m. at Manchester Memorial Hospital. The daily recommendations, dietary guidelines and health benefits of consuming whole grains will be discussed as well as tips to help you incorporate whole grains into meals for better health and weight management.

Description:
The Nurturing Families Network at Eastern Connecticut Health Network (ECHN) will run a free 10-week Dads’ Group at the South United Methodist Church, 1226 Main Street, Manchester, on Wednesday nights from 5 to 7:30 p.m. beginning October 7. The importance of dad's role within the family unit is so often underestimated. Come and learn why you are so important to your children. A light dinner will be served. Childcare is available. Description:
The Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with the Town of Manchester, and the Redevelopment Agency, will conduct an informational presentation of the Redevelopment Plan for Broad Street and the Parkade at the Chamber Office, 20 Hartford Road, Manchester, at 7 pm, on Wednesday, October 21. Representatives from the Town of Manchester and the Redevelopment Agency will be in attendance. Questions and answers will follow the presentation. The presentation is free of charge and open to Chamber members, Manchester residents and business people. Chamber membership is not required to attend. Relay For Life is a celebration: a unique, challenging, and fun way to raise money and awareness of cancer in Manchester on June 4-5. Relay For Life is the signature activity for the American Cancer Society.
