- Are you a Poet? The Wit and Wisdom Writers Club of Manchester a branch of the Connecticut Poetry Society is an active poetry club in Manchester. It is now looking for area poets who would be interested in attending monthly meetings at the MusicMakers Academy, 517 Hartford Road, Manchester, Connecticut.
Meetings are held on the second Saturday of each month 1-4PM open to all interested poets and writers.

[8:00pm] Abbey Road at Cheney Hall
- Description:
- Abbey Road, Connecticut's best Beatles tribute and will
perform in concert at Cheney Hall on Saturday, December 12th at 8 p.m.
The group, Joe LaRoche (as Paul), Dave Geisler (as George), Ron Cataldi (as
Ringo) and James Copeland (as John) have been together for many years and
are well-known around the region for portraying the "Fab Four" on various
stages and a variety of events.
This concert is their first in the historic Cheney Hall in Manchester and
$25 tickets are limited to just 320 seats. The Beatles re-mastered compact
discs were released recently, so interest in the group has heightened for
Beatle fans, old and new.
Joyce Hodgson, Little Theatre of Manchester's Executive Director, shares
that "we are so excited to have Abbey Road in our hall, we love that the
concerts coming up now and into 2010 will be a reflection of each of the
exciting decades that Little Theatre of Manchester has been in existence.
Our 50th anniversary is coming up and starting off with a group that was
huge in the 1960's, when LTM was organized, is a perfect way to start the
celebration here at Cheney Hall!"

177 Hartford Road, Manchester and by calling 860/647-9824, Monday through
Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

- Description:
- Plan now for The American Legion Post 102's 30th annual Children's
Christmas Party on December 12th from 12:00 Noon until 3:00 P.M. at
20 American Legion Drive, Manchester CT 06040. (We are located just
off Main Street across from the Hospital.)
The Public is invited to this event and it is open to all Children
ages 12 and under. Santa will be there with gifts, food and games
for the children. A Donation of $7.00 each is recommended.
Reservations Are Required and must be received before December 5th 2009.
