  History Center Tag Sale
Description:
There will be a Tag Sale Saturday, June 5 to Saturday, June 12 at the History Center, 175 Pine Street, Manchester. Hours: Friday, June 4 Preview from 5-9pm, $5.00 admission; Saturdays, June 5 and June 12 – 9-4pm; Sunday, June 6 – 12-4pm; Monday, June 7 - Friday, June 11 – 10-2pm. Our 5,000 square foot tag sale display area is in the former Cheney machine shop, in the Cheney Brothers National Historic Landmark District. It is an amazing building, with wonderful photographs and artifacts. Parking is available along Pleasant Street. 4:00pm [4:00pm] FREE Prostate Antigen (PSA) Screening
Description:
The Manchester Health Department and Manchester Senior Center are sponsoring FREE prostate specific antigen (PSA) screening. PSA screening is recommended for high risk men between the ages of 45 to 75 who have not been tested this year. Hartford Hospital is providing this free screening from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM on Wednesday June 9, 2010 at the Manchester Senior Center. Please call the Manchester Health Department at (860) 647-3173 to register or with any questions.

Description:
A combination Block Watch meeting will be held on the second Wednesday of each month at the Manchester Senior Center at 6:30 pm. Town Manager Scott Shanley will be our guest speaker on April 14. The Manchester Police Department would like to notify all residents that due to the recent success of the Town Watch event, the following block watches throughout Manchester are being combined, effective June 2009. · Meadowbrook Area · Waddell Area · Strant Street Area · St. John Area · West Side Area · Bunce Drive Area . We welcome new members to join our current members to learn about their respective neighborhoods in town. Spruce Street will continue to hold their own meetings on the 1st (first) Thursday of each month at 7 pm at Nathan Hale School in the cafeteria. Green Manor will also continue to hold their own meetings on the 3rd (third) Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm at the Senior Center on East Middle Tnpk.
