  The First 25 Years/A Musical Revue
Description:
As part of the two-year celebration of Little Theatre of Manchester's 50th anniversary, The First 25 Years - A Musical Revue - a revue of the first 25 years of musicals will be produced August 6-8 and 12-15 at Cheney Hall, 177 Hartford Road. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday performances are at 8:00 p.m. The Sunday matinees begin at 2:00 p.m. Tickets to the show range from $16 to $23. Debi Freund directs the cast of twenty-three singers and dancers, who will take us on a memorable, musical journey starting with “Won’t You Charleston With Me” from The Boyfriend, LTM’s first musical. Other represented shows include; Carousel, Company, Fiddler on the Roof, Cabaret, Funny Girl, Applause, Oklahoma, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Guys and Dolls and Jacques Brel is Alive and Living in Paris. Some of LTM’s favorites will perform including Jayne Newirth, who has been with the troupe for 49 years, John-Michael Whitney, Jenna Levitt, Michael Forgetta, Mary deManbey, Laura Nadeau, Diane AmEnde, Mike Zizka and Steven Ide. Other cast members are, Susan Bailey, Shelley Shallack, Joyce Hodgson, Maria Meier, Katie Emery, Dan Petrozza, Wesley Olds, Art and Charlotte Bradbury, Kate Garrahy, Sarah Hayes, Marika Kraus, Ric Plamenco, and Kristen Shaw. Kim Aliczi is the music director and Todd Santa Maria is the choreographer of this wonder summer show. LTM is continuing their partnership with Cavey’s Restaurant. Cavey’s will offer you free desert or sparkling wine with your dinner the night of your show.

Description:
The Cheney Homestead will be open to visitors the second Sunday of each month, from 1 to 4pm. View this 1785 house at 106 Hartford Road, and hear commentary about this interesting residence, which was donated to the Manchester Historical Society in 1968. Description:
Modern Riffs will give a concert on Sunday, August 8th, 7:00 PM at the Manchester Bicentennial Band Shell on the Manchester Community College Grounds, Exit 1 off I-384. Rain site: SBM Charitable Foundation Auditorium - Park in Lot C. All Concerts are from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Admission is free, but donations are welcomed, as are volunteers! Bring chairs, Blankets and sweaters. Parking is available for handicapped persons. Handicapped accessible facilities are located behind the Band Shell. Description:
Community Vigil for Remembrance and Healing: Manchester Area Conference of Churches (MACC Charities) in cooperation with the Town of Manchester invites the community to gather for a Candlelight Vigil in Center Memorial Park, Sunday evening, August 8th , at 7:30 p.m. (rain or shine). The Vigil is held in the aftermath of the tragedy that occurred at the Hartford Distributors in Manchester on August 3rd. Leaders in the Faith Community will guide participants through a time of reflection and remembrance, giving the opportunity to light candles and move forward with hope.
