- The MCC FARMER'S MARKET began their new season on Wed., July 7, 2-6PM and will continue through Wed., Oct 20 at the MCC Bicentennial Band Shell. SUPPORT CONNECTICUT FARMERS and buy locally grown food every Wed. from 2--6PM.
The market will feature: lettuce, squash, tomatoes, raspberries, blueberries, goat milk soaps/lotions, CT maple syrup, honey cherries, herbs, beans, squash blossoms, french bread bakery, gluten free bakery, goat cheese, and Northeast Organic Farming Association Info., There is music each week . . . and much more!

[6:30pm] Manchester Block Watches
- Description:
- A combination Block Watch meeting will be held on the second Wednesday of each month at the Manchester Senior Center at 6:30 pm.
Town Manager Scott Shanley will be our guest speaker on April 14.
The Manchester Police Department would like to notify all residents that due to the recent success of the Town Watch event, the following block watches throughout Manchester are being combined, effective June 2009.

· Strant Street Area
· St. John Area
· West Side Area
· Bunce Drive Area
. We welcome new members to join our current members to learn about their respective neighborhoods in town.
Spruce Street will continue to hold their own meetings on the 1st (first) Thursday of each month at 7 pm at Nathan Hale School in the cafeteria.
Green Manor will also continue to hold their own meetings on the 3rd (third) Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm at the Senior Center on East Middle Tnpk.

[7:00pm] Bicentennial Band Shell/Johnny Prytko & the Good Times Band
- Description:
- Johnny Prytko & the "Good Times Band" will give a concert on Wednesday, August 11th, 7:00 PM at the Manchester Bicentennial Band Shell on the Manchester Community College Grounds, Exit 1 off I-384. Rain site: SBM Charitable Foundation Auditorium - Park in Lot C. All Concerts are from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Admission is free, but donations are welcomed, as are volunteers! Bring chairs, Blankets and sweaters. Parking is available for handicapped persons. Handicapped accessible facilities are located behind the Band Shell. Service dogs are the only animals allowed on this site.
