- There will be a Tag Sale at St. Bridget's Church, 80 Main St. Manchester on Thurs., Aug 26, and Friday, Aug. 27 from 4:00-8:00 PM and Saturday, Aug. 28 from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Admission is $3.00 on Thursday, and for the first hour on Friday. There is no admission fee on Saturday. Proceeds will support the Youth Ministry. Put it on your calendar if it is not already there. Farm Day is an end-of-summer tradition that you will not want to miss!
Admission includes live bluegrass music, farm animals, hay rides, bounce houses, face painting, games, and of course…lots of great ice cream. Admission is $5.00 for museum members and $6.00 for non-members.
The farm is easy to find. Just follow I-384 East to exit 5 (Route 85). Turn right onto Bolton Center Road (Route 85) and continue for a 1/2 mile. The Fish Family Farm is on the left.
Don Fish, also owner of D.W. Fish Realty, donates the use of his family’s dairy farm and provides all of the farm fresh ice cream as part of this annual fundraiser for the Lutz Children’s Museum. The museum is a non-profit organization that provides fun and educational programs for young children.

[8:00pm] Tom Rush at Cheney Hall
- Description:
- Tom Rush, the perennial folk favorite at any venue, but particularly at Cheney Hall, will perform in concert on Saturday, August 28th. The 8 p.m. concert will feature many items from his last CD, “What I Know” which was given the “Album of the Year” award by the International Folk Alliance.
Tickets to the concert for Rush who was just named one of Boston’s “25 Greatest Pop Music Acts Ever” are $30 VIP and $25 general seating.
Cheney Hall is home to Folk’on Fridays, a summer open-mic performance event that starts in June and has its last evening on September 10. The Hall has hosted many folk legends including Richie Havens, Janis Ian, Kenny Rankin, Will Kimbrough, John McEuen and Dave Mallett.
