1:00pm [1:00pm] Diabetes Self-Management Workshop
Description:
Diabetes Self-Management Workshop is a free six-week workshop given in two and a half hour sessions. The workshop is being offered at the Manchester Senior Center located at 549 East Middle Turnpike. If you have diabetes you will learn about: what to eat, foot care, low and high blood sugar, sick day guidelines, tips for dealing with stress and how to set achievable goals. You do not need to be a senior to participate in this program. This workshop is designed for adults with diabetes and or a caregiver of someone with diabetes. The workshop begins Thursday, February 16, 2017 and runs through Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 1:00 to 3:30. There is an orientation class on Thursday February 2, 2017 from 1:00 to 2:00. [6:00pm] Potty Training Bootcamp
Description:
Parents will learn how to help their child transition from diapers to the potty in a manner that will be fun and easy. Learn tips and have questions answered by School Readiness Nurse Rhonda Dannehy, R.N.,and Early Childhood Specialist Caitlin McNamara, LMSW. Registration is required as space is limited. This program is for adults, however, childcare for children ages 1+ is available to participating families. Description:
The Compassionate Friends will meet on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Compassionate Friends is a national nonprofit, self-help support organization that offers friendship and understanding to bereaved parents, grandparents and siblings. There is no religious affiliation and there are no membership dues or fees. We extend a special warm welcome to you. We know that it takes courage to come to your first meeting, and invite you to bring a friend or relative. Doors will open at 6:30 pm to welcome new members.

Description:
The Board of Directors generally meets at 7:00 p.m. on the third Thursday of the month at 20 Hartford Road, our office, located in the mansion at the corner of Main Street and Hartford Road (upstairs from Chamber of Commerce). Description:
This group meets the 3rd Thursday of each month. It is open to families and friends of people with mental illness and focuses on sharing experiences and information.
