When her husband dies, Annie and her Yorkshire Women's Institute members come together to raise money for a new settee in the local hospital waiting room by posing for a calendar…completely in the nude. Positioned behind flowers, cakes, and knitting projects, the women discover what it means to be confident in their own skin and the shining beauty within themselves and each other. Description:
The Silk City Board Game Group, hosted by the Manchester Public Library, will meet on Saturday February 18, 2017 from 12-4:30PM. Our growing game library will be available (over 100 titles, all brand new donations from the publishers), as well as the opportunity to learn to play: Arkham Horror: The Card Game; Pandemic: Iberia; Ta-Da!; and Great Western Trail. We’ll supply all the games- no need to bring any with you! We are pleased to partner with The Portal to offer this program. No registration required. Free program! Free light refreshments to be served. This event starts at 12PM in the Howroyd Program Room and will last until 4:30PM. The library is located at 586 Main Street, Manchester, CT.
