  Little Theatre of Manchester Presents: GODSPELL
Tickets are selling fast for Little Theatre of Manchester’s upcoming production of the musical phenomenon GODSPELL. Parables vibrantly come to life in this beloved family-friendly musical based on The Gospel According to St. Matthew. This updated 2012 revival version features dazzling new arrangements by the composer of the hit Broadway musical, Wicked. GODSPELL runs April 7 through April 23 at Cheney Hall in Manchester. Tickets are $25-$30, with discounts available for both seniors and students and for groups of 20 or more. [10:00am] Mat Cutting Workshop
The Manchester Art Association is offering a one-day “hands on” mat cutting workshop on Saturday, April 15 from 10 A.M. to 4 P.M. at the Community Y, 78 North Main St. in Manchester. The cost is $90 for members and $120 for non-members. The instructor is Ron Rosenstock, a professional photographer from Massachusetts who has had over 100 solo photography exhibits all over the world. Ron will draw on his 50 years of experience in sharing his philosophy of creating meaningful art and will demonstrate mat cutting and framing. Everyone will have an opportunity to cut mats. Tools, toys, games, and gadgets at the Homestead: The Manchester Historical Society invites children and adults to come try out period toys and gadgets, play games, and learn about Easter in Early America at the Cheney Homestead. Also, you can help to make and prepare our American Indian and colonial garden tools for spring planting. Donations accepted for the upkeep of the Homestead. Cheney Cinema Saturday! Manchester, Ct April 15th, 2017: The Manchester Public Library on 586 Main Street will show a magical blockbuster during Cheney Cinema Saturday on April 15th, 2017 at 2PM. Due to license restrictions (since admission is free) we cannot release the name of the movie being shown, however it is rated PG-13, and run time is 2 hours and 13 minutes. Grab your wand and journey to a magical world with extraordinary creatures, seventy years before a boy with a lightning scar read about these adventures. A young British wizard arrives in America with a wonderful suitcase and finds himself having to help save the world from a dark and terrible wizard. Light refreshments will be served.
