  Drop-In Play Fridays -
Description:
CRAWLERS AND WALKERS - This program is an open playgroup concept with the opportunity for children to play and interact with other children in a preschool setting. The crawlers and walkers group is for children ages 2 and under with the preschool classroom space being open for walkers and a carpeted room with manipulative toys available for crawlers and babies who are not yet mobile. There is a private changing and nursing room available for families to use. This program runs the first Friday of every month from 11:30am-1pm. Each Drop-in day requires separate registration. The classroom space is the first right in the rotary of Northwest Park in a warehouse-like building called Activity Building. RUNNERS AND JUMPERS: This program is an unstructured open playgroup concept with the opportunity for children to play and interact with other children in a preschool setting. The runners and jumpers group is for children ages 2-5 years old and is a free-play time to explore and engage in a fun and safe environment. The Senior Center Advisory Committee Meeting meets every first Friday of each month. February 3, 2017 March 3, 2017 April 7, 2017 May 5, 2017 June 2, 2017 July 7, 2017 August 4, 2017 September 1, 2017 October 6, 2017 November 3, 2017 December 1, 2017 All Senior Center Members are encouraged to attend to discuss issues of concern to members, bring forward suggestions to the administration and be visionaries for the future!

11:00am [11:00am] Donation Drop Off for Land Trust Tag Sale
Description:
The Manchester Land Conservation Trust seeks donations for its week-long June tag sale. Drop off donations of books, tools, antiques, glassware, artwork, toys, furniture, sports items, etc. at the cider barn, 330 Bush Hill Road on most Fridays and Saturdays leading up to the tag sale: May 5-6, 12-13, 19-20, and June 2-3 from 11 to 2 each day. Phone for other drop-off times: Terry at 860-643-1823. No computers, TVs, clothing, please. The actual tag sale will be held June 9-17 from 9 to 2 each day. The tag sale raises funds for the Land Trust. The farm trails are open – maybe plan a two-to-three-mile hike while dropping off tag sale items. Description:
Relay for Life Friday, June 02, 2017 at 3 p.m. Northwest Park, 448 Tolland Tpke. Manchester, CT At Relay For Life events, communities across the globe come together to honor cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that has already taken too much. The funds you raise truly make a difference in the fight against cancer, just ask one of the nearly 14 million cancer survivors who will celebrate another birthday this year! Relay For Life teams camp out overnight and take turns walking or running around a track or path at a local high school, park, or fairground. [6:00pm] Pride in Manchester - Senior Dance
Description:
Music and line-dancing, with Jim Gregory. No experience needed and you do not need to bring a partner -- all welcome! Some ballroom dancing, refreshments, and door prizes. Admission is free but tickets are required to be eligible for door prizes. Tickets will be available from mid-May to June 2 at the Senior Center and at the Customer Service area at Town Hall, 41 Center Street. Young people are encouraged to attend and learn dance steps. Enjoy the fun of music, dance, and socializing.

[6:30pm] MHS's Performs a Reading of George Orwell's 1984
Description:
Manchester High School's drama club will be performing a dramatic reading of George Orwell's 1984, adapted for Reader's Theater on June 2. Performance is in Bailey Auditorium's Chamber Theater. Tickets are $3.00 and sold at the door. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., curtain at 7:00 p.m. Concessions available.
