  Collecting Tag Sale Items for Land Trust
Description:
For its September tag sale, the Manchester Land Conservation Trust seeks donations of books, tools, household items, furniture, toys, games, etc. Drop off donations at barn, 330 Bush Hill Rd., Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from August 7 to September 21 from 11:00 to 2:00 each day. No computers, TVs, clothing, please. The actual tag sale is September 22 to September 30, from 9:00am to 2:00pm each day. Come back and shop! The tag sale raises funds for the Land Trust and its open-space properties, including the 62-acre farm off Bush Hill Road in Manchester and Glastonbury. The farm trails are open – maybe plan a two-to-three-mile hike while dropping off tag sale items. Land Trust info: www.manchesterlandtrust.org.

Friends of Center Springs Park in cooperation with Summit Studios School of Music, invite everyone to enjoy an afternoon of free music performed by various bands that study at Summit's summer rock band camps. Bring a blanket and enjoy these great young musicians by the pond in Center Springs Park. This 55 acre hidden gem is a great place for families to enjoy the outdoors right in the middle of Manchester. Description:
Little Theatre of Manchester continues its 2017 season in August with the high-speed spoof of Alfred Hitchcock’s classic spy movie, Patrick Barlow’s THE 39 STEPS. This comedy runs from Friday, August 11 to Sunday, August 27. Featuring a cast of four actors who breathlessly and hilariously reenact hundreds of characters, locations and famous scenes in Alfred Hitchcock’s 1935 film thriller of the same name, THE 39 STEPS is packed with nonstop laughs, an on-stage plane crash, and some good old-fashioned romance! Performance are on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 pm and Sundays at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $19-$25 (discounts for seniors and students) and can be purchased by calling the Box Office at 860-647-9824 or visiting littletheatreofmanchester.org.
