The Capitol Region East Operating Committee (CREOC) is pleased to announce Tradebe Environmental Services as the new contractor that will provide HHW collection services to the eight member Towns. Fall Outreach Collection: Saturday, October 14th only - Somers, CT (5 Vision Blvd., the parking lot next to the Somers High School. Description:
Free Hike at Salter’s Pond on Saturday, August 26 at 1:00 p.m. Meet in parking lot of town swimming pool, at 123 Lydall Street, near its intersection with Coleman Road. The walk may be wet depending on the weather, and hikers should wear sturdy footwear. The route is not mountainous, but does have stairs and bumpy spots, so participants need to be agile. Our walk will include some historic commentary about the former Salter & Strong paper mill. Moderately paced, this one-mile walk will take about 55 minutes. The pond and adjacent land is owned by the Manchester Land Conservation Trust. More at www.manchesterlandtrust.org

Description:
Little Theatre of Manchester continues its 2017 season in August with the high-speed spoof of Alfred Hitchcock’s classic spy movie, Patrick Barlow’s THE 39 STEPS. This comedy runs from Friday, August 11 to Sunday, August 27. Featuring a cast of four actors who breathlessly and hilariously reenact hundreds of characters, locations and famous scenes in Alfred Hitchcock’s 1935 film thriller of the same name, THE 39 STEPS is packed with nonstop laughs, an on-stage plane crash, and some good old-fashioned romance! Performance are on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 pm and Sundays at 2:00 pm.
