Description:
The History of Mystery: from the first detective mystery through contemporary times. Monday, December 11, 2017 at 7:00pm. Whiton Auditorium, 100 North Main Street, Manchester, CT 06042. Rima Riedel will present a short multimedia fun romp through one hundred and eighty six years of mystery fiction and how it has changed through the decades. During this entertaining and informative hour you will learn about famous, infamous, and "not so famous" characters. You will also be introduced to the use of "red herrings" as well as an overview of the various mystery genres. A long-time mystery buff, Rima Riedel is a Manchester area writer who has had several stories and essays published in 'Scholastic Scope' and Level Best Books' latest anthology, 'Noir at the Salad Bar.' Rima is currently working on a mystery novel set in a "city with village charm." 'Noir at the Salad Bar' will be available for sale and signing. There is no registration for this free program.
