[3:00pm] 34th Annual Santa's Workshop
Description:
A free event sponsored by Wickham Park. Children of all ages enjoy visits with Santa and his elves and refreshments with Mrs. Claus. Santa's Workshop provides a chance for children to enjoy an uncommercialized Christmas experience. Guests are welcome to bring non-perishable food items to be donated to area food pantries. Runs from December 13th through 23rd. Hours are 3-6pm weekdays and 1-5pm on weekends. Come and create a new family tradition.

Description:
Comfort at Christmas – A Service and Retreat for Those in Grief or Loss Thursday, December 21 Time: 5:30pm Mass at St. Bridget Church followed by a light supper and a mini retreat ending at 9:00pm. Admission: Free and open to all. Please RSVP to Kathy Piggott at 860-643-2403, ext. 105 or email educationoffice@manchestercatholic.org no later than Monday, Dec. 18. Description: Not everyone experiences the holidays as a time of joy and cheer. When you just aren’t able to feel the joy of the season, it can feel as though you are the only one struggling this time of year. It can feel as if you should just be able to turn off your feelings of grief, loneliness, worry, fear and just be happy. This is a time to acknowledge pain and loss and to discover the hope and love of our compassionate God. Join us for meditative music, prayer, and a quiet space for comfort and support. A light supper will be served in the cafeteria after Mass followed by a mini-retreat titled God Knows You Are Grieving.

Description:
The Compassionate Friends will meet on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Compassionate Friends is a national nonprofit, self-help support organization that offers friendship and understanding to bereaved parents, grandparents and siblings. There is no religious affiliation and there are no membership dues or fees. We extend a special warm welcome to you. We know that it takes courage to come to your first meeting, and invite you to bring a friend or relative. Doors will open at 6:30 pm to welcome new members.

This group meets the 3rd Thursday of each month. It is open to families and friends of people with mental illness and focuses on sharing experiences and information.
