Early Winter Storytime Sessions
- Description:
- Early Winter Storytime Session – The session begins the week of January 8th with storytimes for infants, one-year olds, two-year olds and three-to-five year olds.
Age-specific storytimes are offered multiple times a week, as well as drop-in storytimes for all ages some evenings and on Saturday mornings. This session will run January 8th – February 17th.
Registration begins December 26th for Manchester residents and December 28th for non-residents. The program is offered at both library locations.

"Set against a Prohibition-era backdrop of speakeasies and vaudeville houses, Mary Miley's 'The Impersonator' will delight readers with its elaborate mystery and lively prose" (Amazon). The novel was a Minotaur Books/Mystery Writers of America First Crime Novel competition award winner. Please note the change of location for this month only. - The Manchester Garden Club will meet Jan. 8, at 7:00 pm. at the Center Congregational Church, 11 Center Street.
Sustainable Landscaping: Judith Dreyer, MS, BSN will discuss how to decrease lawn and create edible landscapes while conserving water, soil, and improving biodiversity. Judith is a Master Gardener and teacher with more than 20 years experience developing workshops and classes, speaking and writing about holistic health, edible and medicinal plants, dreams, and more. She has degrees in nursing and nutrition science, and has taught holistic health studies and nutrition science at both university and college levels. As a Master Gardener, Judith gives talks on wild edible and medicinal plants, landscape sustainability, and creating meadows throughout the East coast.
The Manchester Garden Club meetings are held on most second Mondays of the month (September through June) The doors open at 6:45 P.M. and meetings start at 7:00 P.M.
Guests are welcome to attend and a $5.00 donation is suggested for non-members.

- The Council will meet on the first Monday of each month, except July and August; meetings are held at the Army & Navy Club, 1090 Main St, Manchester, CT 06040, at 7:30 PM.
The council consists of the Manchester Chapters of American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, The Marine Corps League, The Army & Navy Club, Vietnam Veterans Association and the World War I Association.
