Description:
Free walk at Bush Hill Farm Saturday, January 27, at 1:00 p.m., starting at the former cider barn, 330 Bush Hill Road. The Manchester Land Conservation Trust will lead a three-mile hike on this 62-acre property. Extreme weather cancels. The Botti family farmed this property starting about 1912 – growing apples, peaches, cherries, and blueberries as well as vegetables. Some of the old fruit trees still grow on the property. Description:
The Manchester Public Library on 586 Main Street will host two drop-in craft programs on Saturday January 27th, 2018 and February 10th, 2018 from 2-4pm. A rock painting program is scheduled Saturday January 27, 2018 from 2-4pm and a Valentine’s Card making program on Saturday February 10, 2018 from 2-4pm. Both programs are open to all ages and drop-in; no registration required. All materials will be provided for these free programs. The library is located at 586 Main Street, Manchester, CT. Description:
The Manchester Public Library will show a movie about an unlikely alliance between two very different individuals in 19th century Great Britain during Cheney Cinema Saturday. Due to license restrictions (since admission is free) we cannot release the name of the movie being shown, however it is rated PG-13, and run time is 1 hour and 52 minutes. Based on a true story, a clerk from India arrives in England to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of a famous long-reigning British Queen. The two develop a friendship that the Queen’s household attempts to destroy and aims to ruin the Queen’s reputation. Can’t guess the name of the movie? Call the library for more information!
