Description:
On Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 2:00 p.m., there will be a presentation by John Rainaldi, Director of Assessment and Collection. John will discuss and review the tax assistance programs available to Manchester’s senior citizens. This will include information on the Senior Homeowner’s Program, the HELP Program, Veteran’s Programs and various other programs that are offered to qualifying seniors. The Manchester Public Library on 586 Main Street will host its February meeting of Getting Graphic, a book club focused on graphic novels for adults on Tuesday February 20, 2018 at 7 p.m. The February selection is March Book 1 by John Lewis. We are proud to partner with A Hero’s Legacy Comics & Collectibles. Book 1 spans John Lewis’ youth in rural Alabama, his life-changing meeting with Martin Luther King Jr., the rebirth of the Nashville Student Movement, and their battle to tear down segregation through nonviolent lunch counter sit-ins, building to a stunning climax on the steps of City Hall.
