  Free Golf Days at Manchester Country Club
Free Golf Days at Manchester Country Club Manchester Country Club is happy to announce our 2018 Free Golf days for Manchester residents are: April 9, July 16 and October 15. We encourage Manchester residents of all ages and skill levels to come out and enjoy a great day at the course. Reservations can be made up to 7 days in advance by reserving online by clicking on website listed below or by calling the golf shop, 860.646.0226. Please remember our dress code: Denim, tee-shirts and metal spikes are not permitted. Cart and practice range fees are optional. Registration for Spring 2018 Storytime Session
Spring 2018 Storytime Session – The session runs from April 16th – May 19th with many program options. Registration begins April 9th for Manchester residents and April 11th for non-residents. Storytimes are offered for infants, one-year olds, two-year olds, three-to-five year olds and 1st-2nd graders. Family Place workshops for children 0-36 months and their caregivers will also resume this spring. [7:00pm] Manchester Garden Club hosts Lisa Turoczi
The Manchester Garden Club will host Lisa Turoczi owner of Earth Tones, a native plant nursery and landscapes in Woodbury CT., on Monday April, 9 at 7:00 pm. She will speak about “ Creating a Butterfly and Bird habitat in Your Own Backyard”. We will learn how to create an oasis for our beloved winged creatures. Lisa’s garden designs focus on including the best low impact development practices wherever possible, working within the ecology of a site, habitat restoration and a commitment to using native plants. Meetings are held at The First Congregational church, 11 Center Street. The public is welcome, light refreshments are provided. A $5.00 donation is suggested for non members.

[7:00pm] Mysteries on Main Book Discussion for Adults
Flavia, the adopted daughter of fictional detective, Marcus Didius Falco, is a sharp-tongued investigator who relies on her wits. Based on real historical events this is the first in a series of crime novels set in Ancient Rome. Discussion of Lindsey Davis' "The Ides of April" takes place at the Manchester Public Library. Copies are available in the Library's Reference Department and at the Whiton Branch. The FREE program is open to the public and registration is not required. Light refreshments will be served.
