Description:
Little Theatre of Manchester will present Tracy Letts’ AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY from April 13 to April 29, 2018, at Cheney Hall. Description:
Selah Freedom Awareness MCC, Manchester PD and the Manchester Rotary are partnering to bring awareness to the growing issue of sex trafficking. Experts from Selah Freedom will be on campus to give presentations introducing the topic and raising awareness for this issue. Description:
The first workshop is a 4-week Drawing Course to be held on 4 Fridays from 10 A.M. to 1 P.M. on April 6, 13, 20 and 27. Drawing is the essence of all art and is intrinsic to success in other mediums. Carmen Canal, a recipient of diverse art awards in CT, Colorado and Washington, D.C. will teach the elements of drawing, principles of design, rendering of values and aspects of light. Description:
The Manchester Historical Society cordially invites the public to its Annual Dinner on Friday, April 20 at 5:30 p.m., at the Manchester Country Club, 305 South Main Street. After dinner, Manchester resident Bob Kanehl will present “Local Author Placing History in Fiction.” There’s a printable invitation on the Events page of the Historical Society’s website, www.manchesterhistory.org, which includes the entrée choices. Description:
Moon Bounce Mania. BOUNCE, CLIMB, RUN AND DANCE. A variety of obstacle courses and moon bounces to play on. Great exercise and lots of fun! Music and Ice Cream Social. Event will be conducted outdoors if weather permits BUT will be held indoors if it rains. For additional information contact the Office of Neighborhoods and Families at 860.647.3089. What are Family Fun Nights? Each Family Fun Night is aimed at providing families an opportunity to connect with their children and each other around creative, play-based, and/or educational opportunities and activities. Most of the families in attendance have children in early childhood (under age 10); however, families with older children and older siblings also are invited to attend. All Family Fun Nights take place at the former Nathan Hale School in Manchester’s East Side, 160 Spruce Street. Family Fun Nights are based on the idea that, when it comes to creating connections, “fun comes first.” These events provide families a positive, no cost opportunity for connection, recreation and fond memories to last a lifetime.

Description:
CAST children's theatre presents: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs!! April 19-21, 2018 at 7:00 pm. A musical adapted from the Brothers Grimm. All our old friends, plus a few new ones, are here in this marvelous musical adaptation. We’ll meet the captivating Princess Snow White, the prince, the evil queen, and, of course, the seven mischievous dwarfs — Sarge, Gabby, Gloomy Gus, Ticklish, Spritely, Snore, and Slowpoke. There’s also a hilarious palace cat and an enchanted vixen — a fox, you could say! Following the traditional storyline, the fairy tale is brought to life with an eclectic score of toe-tapping tunes. Tickets are $10.00 each. All performances are held at the CAST theatre, 113 Summit Street in Manchester.
