History Garden Planting

Description: The Manchester Historical Society invites to public to a History Garden planting on Sunday, May 20, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Cheney Homestead, 106 Hartford Road. All ages can help in the garden with period tools, and learn about early American plants, practices, and garden wisdom. Community gardener Bettylou Sandy will share practical and historical garden knowledge. Get a glimpse into 18th-century living. Visit the Cheney Homestead (1785) and the Keeney Schoolhouse museums. Try out weaving on our community rag rug. We'll show you how. Rain or shine. This is a free event, but donations are always welcomed for the upkeep of the museum and event expenses.
