Cheney Homestead Garden Planting

Description: Spring Planting: Come help plant a History Garden on Sunday, May 21, from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. at the Manchester Historical Society’s Cheney Homestead, 106 Hartford Road, Manchester. Children and families can help in the garden with period tools, and learn about early American plants, practices, and garden wisdom, and the contributions of Native Americans and African slaves. At 2:00 p.m., local community gardener Bettylou Sandy will share practical and historical garden knowledge. Rain or shine. This is a free event, but donations are always welcomed.
