It has been a year now since the Town of Manchester contracted with Onsite-Insights to facilitate the development of a Children, Youth and Family Master Plan by engaging Manchester’s young people as well as adults in the process. Manchester created seven focus areas for the plan to address: Early Childhood Development, Education and After School Services, Youth in Transition, Neighborhoods and Community, Health and Safety, Family Economics, and Youth Development. Within these focus areas, over 100 citizens came together to identify the needs of Manchester’s youth and families, take inventory of existing resources, identify gaps in services, and develop recommendations to increase the likelihood that all Manchester’s children, youth and families thrive. The Manchester Children, Youth and Family Master Plan will serve as a blueprint for improving the support Manchester provides to its families and for creating and strengthening the services and opportunities Manchester’s children and youth need to thrive. The plan’s vision is: “Manchester, where all children, youth and families thrive”
A PDF version of the Manchester Children, Youth and Family Master Plan is available on line at cyfmp.townofmanchester.org.
