SBM Charitable Foundation Auditorium
Description:
MCC Fall 2009 International Film Series continues on December 11 at 7:00 pm in the SBM Charitable Foundation Auditorium with Eldorado (Belgium). Yvan and Elie are two loners who wander
aimlessly through their lives. Yvan is a quick-tempered 40-year-old vintage car dealer, while Elie is a young burglar and ex-junkie. One day Yvan catches Elie trying to rob him. Instead of beating him up, he becomes strangely attached to him and agrees to drive him home to his parents in his old Chevrolet. Yvan and Elie are both nostalgic about lost relationships, which is what leads them to undertake a bizarre journey through a region that is as spectacular as it is crazy. Both are trying to find the pieces of a puzzle that they want to put back together, but it might be too late.
There will be a brief discussion along with dessert after each film. Free Admission and open to the public. Contact either Evelyn Angry-Smith (512-2874) or Bob Kagan (512-2687) with questions or go to

Abbey Road, Connecticut's best Beatles tribute and will
perform in concert at Cheney Hall on Saturday, December 12th at 8 p.m.
The group, Joe LaRoche (as Paul), Dave Geisler (as George), Ron Cataldi (as

are well-known around the region for portraying the "Fab Four" on various
stages and a variety of events.
This concert is their first in the historic Cheney Hall in Manchester and
$25 tickets are limited to just 320 seats. The Beatles re-mastered compact
discs were released recently, so interest in the group has heightened for
Beatle fans, old and new.
Joyce Hodgson, Little Theatre of Manchester's Executive Director, shares
that "we are so excited to have Abbey Road in our hall, we love that the
concerts coming up now and into 2010 will be a reflection of each of the
exciting decades that Little Theatre of Manchester has been in existence.
Our 50th anniversary is coming up and starting off with a group that was
huge in the 1960's, when LTM was organized, is a perfect way to start the
celebration here at Cheney Hall!"
Tickets can be purchased only through the Cheney Hall box office, located at
177 Hartford Road, Manchester and by calling 860/647-9824, Monday through
Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
