Community Pillow Project at Manchester Public Library. The Library is participating in the statewide themed program of 'Build A Better World' for this year's summer reading events. In that spirit the library is sponsoring a community project creating no-sew heart pillows for donation to a local nursing home.
There will be two drop-in workshop sessions: Monday, July 17th, 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Mary Cheney (586 Main Street) and Wednesday, August 2nd, 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. at the Whiton Auditorium (100 North Main Street).
ALL AGES are welcome to participate in this collaborative good deed/feel-good program. All supplies will be provided.

The Beller's Music Summer Concert Series, Concerts in Center Park, kicks off on Thursday, July 20, with the return of the popular group The Manchesters. This four-man group of Manchester natives comprising members of Silverado and the former Quiet Ones, keeps you clapping, toe tapping, laughing, and singing along to your favorite vintage rock songs. This family-friendly concert is from 6:00-8:00 pm.
From mid-July to mid-August, the free concerts sponsored by the DuBaldo family's Beller's Music are in Center Memorial Park, on the shady grounds of Mary Cheney Library. Bring your lawn chair or blanket, some friends and your picnic dinner, or enjoy take-out from any of the Downtown restaurants.
