Last summer the Town of Manchester conducted a Community Engagement Initiative Survey and the survey results are now posted on the Town’s website.
As a follow up to the Survey, there will be a Community Forum on Monday, January 22, 2018, from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. The Community Forum will be held in the Manchester High School Cafeteria.
Please register so that we can get an idea of how many people will be there that evening. KJR Consulting will be leading the Forum.

Day-1 Shot: Glastonbury and Manchester to Host Flu Clinic at Glastonbury Town Hall
On Saturday, January 27, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the Glastonbury and Manchester Health Departments will collaboratively host a flu vaccination clinic at Glastonbury Town Hall. The Healthy Choices mobile van will be on-site to provide flu shots to anyone ages 4 years and older. All vaccinations will be administered by licensed and trained professionals, including MDs, nurses, and pharmacists. Trained staff will administer the Flublok quadrivalent influenza vaccine for those individuals 18 years and older. Flublok is manufactured using modern re-combinant DNA technology, and contains no egg proteins or gluten, nor does it contain thimerosal, antibiotics, or latex. For those 4-17 years of age, Flucelvax (egg and preservative free) and Flaurix will be available – both are quadrivalent.
The mobile flu clinic van will be at the Glastonbury Town Hall at 2155 Main Street and is open to the general public. Glastonbury or Manchester residency is not required and all insurance will be accepted. For reduced wait times, interested residents are encouraged to visit www.glastonbury-ct.gov/flushot to download and complete the flu shot form to bring to the clinic. In the event of inclement weather, the vaccination clinic will be held inside at the Academy cafeteria, located at 2143 Main Street, Glastonbury

The Manchester Land Conservation Trust will lead a three-mile hike on this 62-acre property. Extreme weather cancels.

The Manchester Public Library will show a movie about an unlikely alliance between two very different individuals in 19th century Great Britain during Cheney Cinema Saturday.
Due to license restrictions (since admission is free) we cannot release the name of the movie being shown, however it is rated PG-13, and run time is 1 hour and 52 minutes. Based on a true story, a clerk from India arrives in England to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of a famous long-reigning British Queen. The two develop a friendship that the Queen’s household attempts to destroy and aims to ruin the Queen’s reputation.
