Men’s and Women’s Senior Golf Leagues Town of Manchester Senior Men's and Women's Golf League is to begin on Monday, April 24, 2017. If you are over 55 and wish to participate in a Monday morning golf league, the Senior Golf League at Manchester Country Club is the league for you. Where: Manchester Country Club When: Monday Mornings (April-August) Tee Times: Between 7:30am-9:00am (Men) 9:00am--10:00am (Women) Start Date: Monday, April 24th Cost: $164 for season! Deadline for Historic Preservation Awards
Historic Preservation Awards The Cheney Brothers Historic District Commission and the Manchester Historical Society recognize property owners who have improved their property in a manner that preserves its historic value and character. Through their example these owners show we can enhance the present and future of Manchester without discarding its past. The Commission and the Society wish to recognize property owners who have actively maintained or rehabilitated a building in a manner that respects and preserves that building’s historic architectural integrity and character. We invite you to participate in our Annual Historic Preservation Awards Program. Nominations must be postmarked no later than April 12, 2017. The Awards will be presented during National Preservation Month on May 24, 2017 in the hearing room, Lincoln Center, 494 Main Street. Registration Starts for Spring Storytime Session
The session runs from April 17th – May 20th with many program options. Registration begins April 10th for Manchester residents and April 12th for non-residents. Storytimes are offered for infants, one-year olds, two-year olds and three-to-five year olds. Family Place workshops for children 0-36 months and their caregivers will also resume this spring. Please see a storytime brochure or ask a librarian for more details on these programs and our drop-in storytime options. 1:00pm [1:00pm] Mobile Food Share
There is a mobile food share at New River Community Church, 314 Woodbridge Street, Manchester, every other Wednesday from 1:00 - 1:30pm. This program provides primarily fresh fruits and vegetables to individuals & families in need. For more information, call New River Church at 860-648-2970 or Foodshare at 860-286-9999. Please bring your own bags.

2:00pm [2:00pm] Pokémon GO Walk
Join Manchester Public Library’s Pokémon trainers in the Howroyd Room at Mary Cheney Library at 2pm so we can make a loop around Center Park to spin at PokéStops and maybe catch some Pokémon, too! Bring your own device loaded with the Pokémon GO app and wear comfortable clothes. After our walk, we will return to Mary Cheney for a craft and snack. This program is for all ages – families, adults, teens! Children under 14 must be accompanied by a parent or adult caregiver. Please call 860-645-0577 if there is inclement weather. No rain date.

[6:30pm] Town Wide Block Watches
All residents living in the Meadowbrook Area; Waddell Area; Strant Street Area; St. John Area; West Side Area and Bunce Drive Area, are held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Senior Center on East Middle Turnpike. We welcome new members to join our current members to learn about their respective neighborhoods in town.
