  An Unforgettable Valentines Day
An Unforgettable Valentines Day- On Tuesday, February 13, 9AM to 7PM and Wednesday, February 14, 9AM to 8PM, quartets from the award-winning Silk City Chorus will be delivering "Singing Valentines" throughout the greater Hartford area.  For only $50, a talented men’s barbershop quartet dressed in tuxedos will perform two love songs and deliver a fresh red rose, a Valentines card, plus a personalized photo of the quartet with your loved one, anywhere that you request. Quartets will travel to the location of your choice--singing to spouses, fellow workers, as well as parents, relatives, children and neighbors. We even deliver them to bosses! The Historical Society's Genealogy Group -- a meeting for both amateur and more experienced genealogists. Breaking Down Genealogical Brick Walls A Genealogy Group presentation on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018 10 a.m., at the Manchester History Center, 175 Pine St., Manchester, CT. Bring in your “brick wall” problem for an open group discussion and suggested strategies for solving. Whether beginning family history research, or are more experienced, often a name, place or event has been impossible to find. Stumped? Tried everything? Don’t know where to turn? Come prepared to give a brief description of your problem, and receive new ideas or tactics for breaking down your wall. This program is free to Manchester Historical Society members, $3.00 for non-members The group usually meets on the second Tuesday of the month at the History Center except July, August & December. Friendship Fest: Preschoolers- Come celebrate Valentine’s Day with Manchester Play On!
