Courageous Nonviolence Leadership – March 10, 2018 “At the heart of nonviolence stands the principle of love and every genuine expression of love grows out of a consistent and total surrender to God” MLK jr. Now is the perfect time to attend this workshop, facilitated by the Connecticut Center for Nonviolence. Based on the nonviolence philosophy and methodology of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., this workshop will provide participants with peaceful strategies to address personal and community conflicts. WHEN: Saturday, March 10, 2018 from 9:00am - 3:30pm WHERE: St. Bridget Cafeteria, 80 Main St., Manchester Cost: $20. --- Includes lunch This dynamic one day introduction to Kingian Nonviolence Conflict Reconciliation includes: • interactive exercises in applying the Six Principles of Nonviolence to a broad spectrum of individual, group, institutional and systemic conflicts, • analysis of Dr. Martin Luther King’s writings, • documentary film footage of nonviolent campaigns, • an overview of conflict analysis and management. [9:00am] Manchester’s Early Childhood Fair
Manchester’s Early Childhood Fair will be held on Saturday March 10, 2018 from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 noon in the Manchester High School Cafeteria and Gymnasium, 134 Middle Turnpike East, with the entrance being off of the Brookfield Street parking lot. The snow date is scheduled for Saturday March 31, 2018. Manchester’s Early Childhood Fair is free, open to the public, and provides a wealth of information on programs, services, recreation, and local resources available for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and young children up to age 8. Please join us for free play activities through Manchester Plays On! and a musical performance by Practice the Cactus! A free, 8-week experience for families on Saturday mornings starting March 10. For families with children 4 years old & under plus other children up to 8. Every family goes home with new books & toys that promote learning. Parents learn new skills to help their child thrive & be ready for preschool. Parents are their child’s first & best teacher! The Friends of Music at Emanuel will present Lions Gate Trio. The internationally-acclaimed ensemble has performed in Germany, France, Belgium, Finland and most of the eastern U. S. Members of the trio are respected teachers and have served residencies at Tanglewood, Yale University and the University of Pittsburgh. Program will include trios by Mendelssohn, Dvorak and Carter. Free concert. Donations accepted. Reception will immediately follow the concert in Luther Hall.

Show Ticket are $20 each (1-3 tickets) or $15 each (4 or more tickets). Raffle Prices, purchased at the event, are 10 tickets - $10, or 30 tickets - $20.
