[9:00am] Manchester Public Schools - District Science Fair
DISTRICT-WIDE SCIENCE FAIR Manchester’s young scientists will present their inventions and discoveries at Manchester Public Schools and Manchester Town-Wide PTA’s 7th Annual Science Fair with Invention Convention on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Illing Middle School from 9:00 am – 12:30 pm. We are expecting nearly 100 Kindergarten through 8th grade students from Manchester Public Schools to participate in the fair. During the current school year, these young inventors and explorers participated in their school science fairs, and have been selected as finalists to display their projects to volunteer judges and share their newfound knowledge with the community. This event is open to the public. The District-Wide Invention Convention finalists will move on to the next level of competition and take part in the Connecticut Invention Convention Regionals to be held at CT River Academy in East Hartford on Saturday, March 24, 2018. [12:00pm] Board Game Group For Adults!
The Silk City Board Game Group is hosted by the Manchester Public Library. Geek Fever Games, a board game publisher based out of Connecticut, will bring their line of games to show off, including their Kickstarter hit, Dead Man’s Doubloons, and a prototype for a new game. We are pleased to partner with The Time Machine to offer this program. We look forward to sharing our love of board gaming with you! No registration required. Free program! CAST children's theatre presents "Inn-Cognito" March 15-17, 2018 at 7:00 pm. Hollie Berry and her children are opening up an old resort they recently inherited. It seems as if it's going to be a roaring success. However, once their guests begin arriving, they soon suspect that everything is not at all as it seems. In this spirited comedy, Holly and her kids quickly learn that nobody at their hotel is who they say they are. In fact, you could say they're all traveling Inn-Cognito! Tickets are $10.00 each.
