1:00pm [1:00pm] Clear Light Society Presentation
The Unitarian Universalist Society: East (UUS:E) will host the Clear Light Society presentation “Spiritually Assisting at the Moment of Death” on Sunday, March 25, 2018, 1-2 p.m. Clear Light Director of Training Melissa Lewis, RN BSN, will offer simple, effective techniques that foster a deep and meaningful connection with loved ones at the moment of death. These practices are personalized to an individual’s own spiritual beliefs and traditions. Those who want to gain further understanding and facility in the practices will have an opportunity to take a four-part training course. The program will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Society: East located at 153 Vernon Street West, Manchester, CT. It is free and open to the public. Registration is requested but not required. [1:00pm] Free Rail Trail Hike
Free Rail Trail Hike on Sunday, March 25, at 1:00 p.m. -- an easy 3-mile walk along the former railroad, hiking along the one-mile portion owned by the Manchester Land Conservation Trust and on to Center Springs Park and the footbridge overlooking Broad Street. About two hours round trip, with commentary on the history of the railroad. Meet at tracks on north (right) side of 2 Main Street. Park at nearby shopping plaza or Eighth Utilities District office (please do not park in Farr's store’s parking lot). A special favor will be given to children under 16 who attend the hike.
