Description:
Doctor’s appointments can be frustrating with long waits, awkward silences, and questions left unanswered. On Thursday, April 19, 2018, Jennifer McCaughey from Hartford HealthCare Center for Healthy Aging will present “How to Make the Most of Your Doctor’s Appointments”, from 11:00 to 12:00 at the Manchester Senior Center. Discussion will include tips and suggestions on how to make the most or the small amount of time seniors gets for a doctor’s appointment. Description:
Manchester Community College Foundation, Inc. and Dr. Robert and Joyce Fish are hosting a luncheon presentation at Manchester Community College for anyone interested in learning more about charitable giving with the new tax bill and through the use of donor-advised funds. Dr. Robert Fish is a retired dentist from the Manchester community, a member of Manchester Rotary Club and a long-time supporter of MCC. Joyce is an alumna of MCC. David Brosnan is vice president of Boston-based Fidelity Charitable and will provide practical advice on charitable giving through donor-advised funds and advantages with the new tax laws. The lunch is open to anyone interested in learning more about charitable giving or donor-advised funds. Reservations are required as space is limited. There is no charge to attend, however, please consider making a small contribution to benefit MCC’s Culinary Arts Program. Monthly Board of Directors Meetings Manchester Land Conservation Trust Board of Directors usually meets at 7:00 p.m. on the third Thursday of the month, at our office at 20 Hartford Road, at the corner of Main Street and Hartford Road (upstairs from Chamber of Commerce). Board meetings are held nine times per year, in January, February, March, April, June, September, October, November, and December. (The board's May meeting is part of the annual meeting, and the board's December meeting is usually held at a member's home.) The public is invited to attend board meetings. Description:
CAST children's theatre presents: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs!! April 19-21, 2018 at 7:00 pm. A musical adapted from the Brothers Grimm. All our old friends, plus a few new ones, are here in this marvelous musical adaptation. We’ll meet the captivating Princess Snow White, the prince, the evil queen, and, of course, the seven mischievous dwarfs — Sarge, Gabby, Gloomy Gus, Ticklish, Spritely, Snore, and Slowpoke. There’s also a hilarious palace cat and an enchanted vixen — a fox, you could say! Following the traditional storyline, the fairy tale is brought to life with an eclectic score of toe-tapping tunes. Tickets are $10.00 each. All performances are held at the CAST theatre, 113 Summit Street in Manchester.
