WORK_SPACE partners with the CT Small Business Development Center and the Viscogliosi Entrepreneurship Center to host a week of Lunch & Learns. SCHEDULE OF EVENTS Mon. 4/30/18 – THE GROWTH WHEEL Matt Nemeth of CTSBDC leads us through the growth process, with an interactive “Growth Wheel “® program. Tues. 5/1/18 – THE ENTREPRENEURS MINDSET Dr. Stacey Zackin, manager of WORK_SPACE, helps us explore the connection between thinking like an entrepreneur and being an entrepreneur. Wed. 5/2/18 – CREATING ENGAGING SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT Kristen Mozian of the CTSBDC will teach us basic strategies of different social media platforms and the type of content that works. Thurs. 5/3/18 – CYBERSECURITY An expert in the field of cybersecurity from Kelser Corp. will help us reduce our vulnerabilities by teaching us about security programs, social engineering, password protection and what to do if you get hacked. The Manchester Public Library will host a new board game and role playing game program for teens on Monday afternoons from 3-4:30pm starting April 16, 2018. The program for middle and high school age students will include: April 16, 2018: Learn to play Dropmix and Harry Potter: Hogwarts Battle April 23, 2018: Play Dungeons and Dragons, 5th Edition April 30, 2018: Learn to play Codenames Marvel and Sheriff of Nottingham No registration required for this free program! Author Steven M. Leshin will talk about his inspiration, the history behind the story, and read excerpts from his novel "Vengeance of the Ripper." Blending history and suspense, the book pits Jack the Ripper against old west legend, Wyatt Earp. The action takes place in Los Angeles, California in the year 1908, twenty years after his murderous rampage in London. The hunt for the Ripper reveals a conspiracy involving an international arms dealer, the crown jewels, and President Theodore Roosevelt (stevenleshinwebstarts.com).
