WORK_SPACE partners with the CT Small Business Development Center and the Viscogliosi Entrepreneurship Center to host a week of Lunch & Learns. SCHEDULE OF EVENTS Mon. 4/30/18 – THE GROWTH WHEEL Matt Nemeth of CTSBDC leads us through the growth process, with an interactive “Growth Wheel “® program. Tues. 5/1/18 – THE ENTREPRENEURS MINDSET Dr. Stacey Zackin, manager of WORK_SPACE, helps us explore the connection between thinking like an entrepreneur and being an entrepreneur. Wed. 5/2/18 – CREATING ENGAGING SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT Kristen Mozian of the CTSBDC will teach us basic strategies of different social media platforms and the type of content that works. Thurs. 5/3/18 – CYBERSECURITY An expert in the field of cybersecurity from Kelser Corp. will help us reduce our vulnerabilities by teaching us about security programs, social engineering, password protection and what to do if you get hacked. 5:00pm [5:30pm] SMALL WORKS @ WORK_SPACE
During the Imagine Main Street monthly events, WORK_SPACE will not only host tours of its two art galleries and meeting & coworking spaces, but will also have an art station set up for people of all ages to make small art projects that take 30 minutes or less and cost $10 or less. To be held May-September on the first Thursday starting at 5:30pm until supplies run out.

The first Imagine Main Street of the 2018 season will be held on Thursday, May 3 starting at 5:30 p.m. inside the Army Navy Club. Activities from candle and soap makers, photographers and artists, jewelry and clothing makers, will be interspersed with young artisans and talented folk who will dance, sing, perform, sell and show off their artistic and imaginative wares. Youth participants include Muzak3, a jazz ensemble, Leonardo and Mikey Adduci who offer a number of artistic talents, Baby Blue Auden and her original music and vocals, jewelry by Adelae Schlegelmich, the Cheney Tech Art National Society students, the Somerville sisters art, music by Ugly Sweater Party, The Royals and the Undecideds, Manchester High School art students selling pottery and jewelry, and the Boy Scouts demonstrating leathercraft. Much more is planned along with Anne Cubberly's giant puppet, strolling musicians, Jeff's Kettle Korn and Kona Ice. 6:00pm [6:30pm] Crime Report Meeting
Crime Report Meeting The next Community Crime Report Meeting will be Thursday May 3 at 6:30pm in the Police Department Community Room, 239 E. Middle Tpke. The meetings are meant to provide the public with accurate information regarding significant incidents and crime trends, and general information about police processes.

[6:30pm] Manchester Women's Club Meeting
Manchester Women's Club's next meeting is Thursday May 3 6:30 at Manchester High School Cafe. 30 minutes or less for the Business portion is our goal! Bring along knitting or other crafts if you'd like, and a new or used children's book for the Little Free Library at Northwest Park - we will also be working together to create No Sew Blankets for children in shelters.
