Newcomers Meeting The next Senior Center Newcomer’s meeting, open to those 60+ and Members will be held on Wednesday, May 16 at 11:00 a.m. in the library. New members will receive introductions to our programs and tour our facility. Description:
Muscle Car Model Club– Tuesday, May 22nd, 2018, 6pm at Mary Cheney Library. This program is for children ages 8-11 and a parent; we will have pizza and then work on an awesome Snap-Tite model of a classic ’69 Camaro Z/28 SS. Children will have a chance to display their completed models at the library in August – more details to come. No siblings, please. Registration is required and begins Monday, May 14th. Description:
The Manchester Public Library will hosts a new board game and role playing game program for teens on Monday afternoons from 3-4:30pm. The program for middle and high school age students will include: May 7, 2018: Play Dungeons and Dragons, 5th Edition May 14, 2018: Learn to play Munchkin and Smash Up! May 21, 2018: Play Dungeons and Dragons, 5th Edition Free program! Free light refreshments to be served. This event starts at 3PM in the Howroyd Program Room and will last until 4:30PM. Description:
Changing Land, Changing Wildlife, will be the topic Margery Winters will speak about at the Manchester Garden Club meeting Monday May 14, at 7:00 pm at the Center Congregational Church. Learn how our current land use practices impact our wild areas. What are the effects of global warming? Explore how we can assure a healthy environment for future generations. Margery is the assistant Director of the Roaring Brook Nature Center in Canton. She has a variety of experience in land scape design and management. The meeting is open to the public for a $5.00 donation. Light refreshments are provided.
