Description:
Dangers of Underage Drinking & Distracted Driving The Manchester Youth Service Bureau and Manchester Police Department will be hosting a community event, “Dangers of Underage Drinking & Distracted Driving,” on Friday, May 18, 2018, (Rain or Shine: in case of rain, part of the event will be held inside the Youth Service Bureau at 63 Linden Street) from 4:30-7:30pm. This event is free, open to the public and suggested for youth drivers and their parents or guardians. The event will include live demonstrations and interactive experiences, such as: roll over simulator, seat belt convincer and impairment googles. Representatives from the MPD, the Change Collaborative, Emergency Services, and local organizations will be present. Pre-registration is not required. [5:00pm] Things in the Forest- Art Exhibit
Description:
The opening of the “Things in the Forest” Community Youth Art Exhibit and Event will be held Friday, May 18, 2018. Come meet the MHS students who authored, illustrated, and translated the Things in the Forest children’s picture book. Children can paint or color their own Things in the Forest artwork and hang it in the gallery with the other participating artists. Using crafting supplies and your imagination, create your own “Things in the Forest” creature. Enjoy light refreshments courtesy of our community partners. Supplies are limited. First come, first served.
