The dates for the 2018 HHW collection schedule are listed below. The annual collection date postcard (printed on yellow cardstock paper and sent via U.S. Mail first class every spring), is scheduled to be mailed out every year in March. Get your car washed by students from the Manchester High School Music Program. Donations accepted, to benefit student activities and field trips in the coming year. MHS,main office lot entrance. It looks like perfect weather to get your car clean and support MHS.

[9:00am] Unique Boutique Tag Sale
Unique Boutique, a large quality tag sale will be held at St. Teresa of Calcutta Church's air conditioned auditorium, 80 Main Street, Manchester, CT., August 23rd - 25th. On Thursday, August 23rd from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm admission fee is $10.00. Thursday admission includes wine and cheese while you shop. Admission Friday, August 24th from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm is $1.00. Admission on Saturday, August 25th from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm is free. Items for sale include furniture, books, jewelry, records, record player, collectibles, toys, hardware, artwork, household items, linens, glassware, sporting goods, gardening supplies, luggage, pocketbooks and much more.

[1:00pm] Free Rail Trail Hike
An easy 3-mile walk along the former railroad, hiking along the one-mile portion owned by the Manchester Land Conservation Trust and on to Center Springs Park and the footbridge overlooking Broad Street. About two hours round trip, with commentary on the history of the railroad. Meet at tracks on north (right) side of 2 Main Street. Park at nearby shopping plaza or Eighth Utilities District office (please do not park in Farr's store’s parking lot). A special favor will be given to children under 16 who attend the hike.
