Join us at MOPs (Mothers of Preschoolers) and MOMSnext! All mothers from those with children at home are welcome. Join us for time to chat and learn with other moms, a hot breakfast with coffee and safe and fun childcare for your little ones. Motherhood is hard, but you don't have to do it alone. Find community at MOPs! Meetings are held at Trinity Covenant Church (302 Hackmatack St) from 9-11:30 on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month. Our first meeting of the year is September 11th. The Historical Society's Genealogy Group -- a meeting for both amateur and more experienced genealogists, as we explore topics in genealogy, helping each other with research and in overcoming roadblocks. Meet at the Manchester History Center. The Genealogy Group consists of Historical Society members, but non-members are also welcome, $3.00 fee. The group usually meets on the second Tuesday of the month at the History Center except July, August & December. The book is also about ducks that walk on fish, scary cows, women in hard hats, a bike that floats, and the bravest little car in the world. And it about places you can't savor in the fast lane. You can visit Cape Cod a thousand times, but you won't understand the Cape until you travel the back roads in winter. You can drive through Glenwood Canyon on I-70 in Colorado, but you won't experience it until you walk along the path between the highway and the Colorado River deep inside the canyon walls.

The VFW Post 2046 will meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month except July and August. The meetings are held at the Army & Navy Club, 1090 Main St. at 6:30 pm.

A Joint Special Meeting of the Board of Directors and Board of Education regarding SMARTR2 will be held Sept. 11 at 7pm, Lincoln Center, Hearing Room, 494 Main Street. Next Board of Directors meeting is October 2, 2018 in the Lincoln Center.
