Description:
“Amazing Arachnids” – Wednesday, October 17th, 3:30pm at Cheney. Through the close observation of Lutz Children’s Museum collections, children will investigate the diverse world of arachnids and explore the features that make them unique. This program is for children ages 3-5. This program is taught by staff from the Lutz Children's Museum but held at the Mary Cheney Library. The program is free but does require registration. Description:
Manchester Art Association The next meeting of the Manchester Art Association will be Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 7:00 pm in the auditorium of the Arbors, 403 West Center Street, Manchester (extra parking is available at Manchester Manor next door). The guest artist, Shauna Shane, will demonstrate painting Koi. A professional painter for over 33 years, Shauna enjoys showing others how to see and understand the visual world in a way that makes their artistic journey enjoyable and productive. Shauna has exhibited all over the country and won many awards. She has been Resident Artist at the New Britain Museum of American Art and at Yellowstone National Park. The program will include a members’ Art-of-the-Month competition and light refreshments. The meeting is free and open to the public. Guests and new members are always welcome.
