Help and encouragement after the death of a spouse, child, family member, or friend. GriefShare is a special weekly seminar and support group designed to help you rebuild your life after losing a loved one. Our group is made up of caring individuals who have experienced grief and want to help you through the difficult days ahead. This group meets on Thursdays from 6:30 - 8:30 pm, at the Manchester Church of Christ starting on September 13th and going through December 13th. [6:30pm] Homeless in Manchester Forum
The Manchester Community Services Council will be holding a community forum, “Homeless in Manchester.” The forum will take place on Thursday, November 8th at 6:30 pm at the Manchester Senior Center located at 549 East Middle Turnpike. The community forum is free and open to the public. This is the first forum for Manchester Community Services Council, Inc.. The Manchester Community Services Council’s Mission is to “Provide a Forum to Address the Needs of the Manchester Community” and this is a hot topic. After the closing of the MACC Charities Shelter, many Manchester residents are wondering what services are offered for those individuals who may have used the shelter in the past. A panel of community speakers for the evening will include: Amanda Gordon, Deputy Executive Director of Journey Home, Margaret Haley, Social Worker for Senior Adult and Family Services for the Town of Manchester; Shannon Baldassario, Director of Services, MACC Charities and Sergeant Marc Hughes, PAR Supervisor, Manchester Police Department.
