Description:
Join us at MOPs (Mothers of Preschoolers) and MOMSnext! All mothers from those with children at home are welcome. Join us for time to chat and learn with other moms, a hot breakfast with coffee and safe and fun childcare for your little ones. Motherhood is hard, but you don't have to do it alone. Find community at MOPs! Meetings are held at Trinity Covenant Church (302 Hackmatack St) from 9-11:30 on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month. Our first meeting of the year is September 11th. The Mobile Food Share will be in the Manchester area on alternate Tuesdays, from 9:00am-9:30am. Come early, this is open to the public. Bring a sturdy grocery bag! Description:
A meeting for both amateur and more experienced genealogists, as we explore topics in genealogy, helping each other with research and in overcoming roadblocks. The Genealogy Group consists of Historical Society members, but non-members are also welcome, $3.00 fee. The group usually meets on the second Tuesday of the month at the History Center except July, August & December. Description:
Manchester Community College Alumni Association will hold its 32nd annual dinner on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Manchester Community College. Guests will enjoy a pre-dinner wine and hors d’oeuvres reception at 6:15 p.m., followed by a delicious dinner at 7:00 p.m., prepared and served by MCC’s culinary arts students. The evening includes a presentation of the 2018 Alumnus of the Year Awards. This year’s awardees are Marilyn Parkinson Thrall ’73 from Canton, CT and John B. Toomey, Jr. ’74 from Bolton, CT. Cost to attend is $10.00/per person. Fellow MCC alumni and friends/colleagues of our awardees are encouraged to attend. Description:
Table Runner Craft The Manchester Public Library on 586 Main Street will host a craft to make a table runner out of repurposed books on Tuesday November 13, 2018 at 7p.m. All materials will be supplied for this adults-only craft. Using discarded books, glue, and paper punches, attendees will construct a table runner, perfect for the upcoming holiday season. No registration required for this free event.
