  Toy Drive
Manchester Young Democrats are collecting toys and gifts for Manchester-area children whose families are clients of Interval House East, a nonprofit agency dedicated to preventing and breaking the cycle of domestic violence. This is the 21st annual toy drive, aiming to make the holidays brighter for these children. Toys and gifts may be dropped off weekdays, any time before 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 18, at the Barlow Law Office, 172 East Center St. Donations should be new, non-violent, unwrapped gifts for infants to teens, including toys, hats, mittens, pajamas, dolls, art and craft supplies, books, cars and trucks, earbuds, headphones, movie passes, gift cards, school supplies, and stocking stuffers such as nonperishable treats and personal care items. Santa Calls!
HO HO HO! Santa is calling! Be sure to pick up a form at Center Springs, 39 Lodge Drive, the Community Y Rec Center, 78 N Main Street, or print one from our website at recreation.townofmanchester.org by clicking General Information. Forms must be returned by Thursday, December 6th. Calls will be attempted twice on Friday, December 7th from 4:30 – 7:30pm; you will be able to specify the best time to call.

9:00am [9:00am] Senior Center Advisory Committee Meeting
The Senior Center Advisory Committee Meeting meets every first Friday of each month. All Senior Center Members are encouraged to attend to discuss issues of concern to members, bring forward suggestions to the administration and be visionaries for the future!

2:00pm [2:00pm] Preschool Dance Party
For children up to 6 years old, this is a time for little ones and their grownups to rock out at the library. Dance, sing along, and have fun to kids’ music, oldies and some wintry tunes. For more information call: 860-645-0577.

There will be a ceremony to honor our WWII Veterans. Where: Army Navy Club 1090 Main St Time : 4PM

6:00pm [6:00pm] Christmas Event at Cheney Homestead
A fireside reading of Charles Dickens’s “A Christmas Carol.” will be lightly dramatized and has limited seating. Friday, December 7 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. Reservations required by emailing Cheney Homestead Chairperson Peter Millet, peter.m.millet@gmail.com with CAROL RESERVATIONS in the subject line. $10 per person, $5 for children under 16.
