Pediatric & Adult First Aid & CPR for Child care Providers. The class is ideal for daycare providers, new parents, teachers, babysitters, and coaches. Payment can be made the morning of the class. We accept cash or check. The class is generally taught the second Saturday of every month at 8:30a.m. at the Fire Station:second floor, 75 Center St. All interested students should e-mail: DawnS.CPR@gmail.com. Include home address, name (as they would like it to appear on their certificate), phone number, and name of class.

Special one-day indoor holiday-themed tag sale to benefit the Manchester Land Conservation Trust and its work to preserve open space lands. Shop in the 5,000-square-foot cider barn on our farm property. Gifts for every age, items for entertaining: Christmas-themed china, cups, stemware, linens. Also, lights, trees, bulbs, wreaths, plus books, games, dishes, tools, artwork, furniture, machinery, household and sports items, near-antiques, Depression glass, etc. Books: $5.00 per bag. There are 3.5 miles of trails at the farm, so you can shop and hike on the same day. Trail map and info about the Land Trust and its events available online.

Free Rail Trail Hike Saturday, December 8, at 1:00 p.m., starting at Fuss and O’Neill, 146 Hartford Rd., exploring the route of the former railroad, along the South End streets at first, viewing property recently acquired by the Town of Manchester, and then on to Center Springs Park and the footbridge over Bigelow Brook. About one-and-a-half hours round trip. Participants will hear about the history of the railroad. Sponsored by the Manchester Land Trust. No dogs, please.
