The next Senior Center Newcomer’s meeting, open to those 60+ and Members will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 16 at 11:00 a.m. in the library. New members will receive introductions to our programs and tour our facility. You must REGISTER with the front office by calling (860) 647-3211 ahead of time so we may properly prepare for your visit. There is a mobile food share at New River Community Church,every other Wednesday from 1:00 - 1:30pm. This program provides primarily fresh fruits and vegetables to individuals & families in need. 7:00pm [7:00pm] Manchester Art Association Meeting
The next meeting of the Manchester Art Association will be Wednesday, January 16, 2019 in the auditorium of the Arbors (extra parking is available at Manchester Manor next door). The guest artist, Robin McCahill, will demonstrate felting. Robin has been making things ever since she can remember. Felting has been an intriguing force that turned to passion and has enabled Robin to explore two and three dimensional aspects of its qualities. Most of her work is sculptural in nature. Robin designs and builds props and puppets as well as performing herself. She creates wearable art and home décor. She also teaches art at various locations and at her studio. The program will include a members’ Art-of-the-Month competition and light refreshments. The meeting is free and open to the public.
