Ken Ludwig's THE GAME'S AFOOT It is December 1936 and Broadway star William Gillette, admired the world over for his portrayal of Sherlock Holmes, has invited his fellow cast members to his Connecticut castle for a weekend of revelry. But when one of the guests is stabbed to death, the festivities in this isolated house of tricks and mirrors quickly turn dangerous. The danger and hilarity are non-stop in this glittering whodunit. Manchester Community College Foundation is hosting its annual Hall of Fame to honor individuals and businesses in the Manchester area who have made a significant impact at MCC and within the community through philanthropy and community service. A delicious brunch will be held at 12:00 p.m. on February 17, 2019 at Manchester Country Club. The public is invited to join us as we celebrate TAB Computers, Inc. with special recognition of T.J. Benoit, President, as Investor of the Year. Celebrated volunteers of the year include professor Carla Adams and associate professor Alison Mackenzie, along with former attorney Lenn Jacobs of Jacobs, Walker, Rice and Barry, LLC. Description:
A program with some basic information about immigration will be held on this Sunday afternoon at North United Methodist Church. Jackie Abbott will share her experience in traveling through a refugee camp in Jordan about one mile from the Syrian border. The camp houses 85,000 Syrian refugees. Jackie will also describe the process involved in the Refugee Resettlement Act, and finally introduce families living locally who have been settled here in CT. All are welcome.
