Weaving and Songs at the Cheney Homestead, Sunday, March 10 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., 106 Hartford Road. The Manchester Historical Society welcomes all ages to try out weaving and spinning -- experienced artisans will show you how. Bring colorful, clean used cloth and help us start our next community rag-rug project. Enjoy live Celtic music and village weaving songs from India. Tours of the 1785 Homestead available. The event is free; donations always welcome for the upkeep of the Homestead. The Homestead is generally open on the second Sunday of the month. Manchester Public Schools’ Office of Equity and Partnerships is partnering with Real Dads Forever to present an 8 session Parent Program with a focus on Dads. (Moms come to 3 sessions.) Come and sit with us and talk it over. Free meal and child care. With lively, entertaining and informative conversation, music, videos and photos we will explore fathering and its special effect in the life of your child. • How important are you to your child’s success? • What is it that kids need from men? • What’s going on in your child’s brain? • Want some great tips about raising successful kids? • What should Dads and Moms do to help children develop?
