  Historical Preservation Deadline

The Cheney Brothers National Historic District Commission and The Manchester Historical Society Announce Manchester’s Annual Historic Preservation Awards The Cheney Brothers Historic District Commission and the Manchester Historical Society recognize property owners who have improved their property in a manner that preserves its historic value and character. Through their example these owners show we can enhance the present and future of Manchester without discarding its past. The Commission and the Society wish to recognize property owners who have actively maintained or rehabilitated a building in a manner that respects and preserves that building’s historic architectural integrity and character. We invite you to participate in our Annual Historic Preservation Awards Program. Nomination forms may be obtained at the Planning Department located in Lincoln Center, 494 Main St or more information can be obtained by calling 860-647-3044. Completed nomination forms must be postmarked no later than April 6, 2019 Awards will be presented during National Preservation Month on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. in the Hearing Room, Lincoln Center, 494 Main Street.

Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Community Workshops
Description:
[Registration Open] The Town of Manchester is offering a three-part community workshop series on diversity, equity, and inclusion. The series is designed to build a foundation for on-going learning related to diversity, race, bias, equity, and social justice. Topics include: Equity 101, Everyday Anti-Racism, and How to Have Conversations About Race, Bias, & Equity. Workshops occur March through June, with four opportunities to attend each topic. Weekday sessions are offered in the morning, afternoon, and evening. A condensed two-session Saturday morning session is also available. Space is limited. Register early to secure a seat.
