The Manchester Historical Society presents author Christopher Wigren, who will talk about his book, “Connecticut Architecture: Stories of 100 Places.” Christopher Wigren is an architectural historian and Deputy Director of the Connecticut Trust for Historic Preservation. His articles and essays have appeared in The Hartford Courant, The New Haven Register, and Connecticut Explored magazine. The book reflects 30+ years of fieldwork and research in statewide architectural surveys and National Register of Historic Places programs. The event is free and open to the public. MARC’S Annual Rockin’ Bowl-A-Thon Sunday, April 7, from 1-3, at Spare Time Lanes in Vernon. Bowlers will enjoy two hours of bowling, a laser light show, prizes to the top 5 scores, bowling contests, music, and pizza & soda.
