  Preschool Dance Party
Description:
This month we will have two chances to dance! Join us in the morning for Music Monday during the Week of the Young Child on April 8th and then again for a Friday afternoon on April 26th! This program is a time for children up to age 6 and their grownups to rock out at the library. Dance, sing along, and have fun to kids’ music and oldies. Description:
Barb Scala will speak on Garden to Table: Edible Gardens & More. Barb is a Master Gardener and director of the CT Farm & Food Guide. She is dedicated to spreading the word about the importance of garden fresh food. She will talk about organic and seasonal gardening, nutrient dense food and edible landscapes, including a surprising look at edible flowers and weeds. The Manchester Garden Club meetings are held on most second Mondays of Manchester Garden Club the month (September through June). The doors open at 6:45 P.M. and meetings start at 7:00 P.M. Guests are welcome to attend and a $5.00 donation is suggested for non-members. The public is welcome, light refreshments are provided. For updated information, visit our website.

Description:
The Manchester Public Library on 586 Main Street will host Manchester poet S. J. Herrera with her presentation “Poetry: A New Day” on Monday April 8th, 2019 at 7PM in honor of National Poetry Month. Herrera will talk about her collection of poetry “Saffron Wishes”, recently released by Barnes and Noble; poetry as a healing medium; the process of self-publishing poetry, and her journey through poetry. Herrera will have copies of her collection for purchasing and signing. This program is free and open to the public.
